The National Project Quotations Manager is a nationally scoped leadership role accountable for driving commercial excellence, bid strategy, and integrated technical solutioning across ABB’s Smart Power and Smart Buildings divisions in Canada. Leading a team of Configuration & Quotation Specialists, this role serves as both a people leader and a subject matter expert (SME), overseeing the development of competitive bids, estimates, and quotations for low voltage electrical distribution systems, including switchboards, load centers, and panelboards.

Operating at the intersection of technical expertise and commercial strategy, you will act as a trusted partner to Sales and Business Leadership, ensuring that all proposals are not only technically sound but also strategically positioned to maximize win rates, revenue growth, and margin performance.

A key differentiator of this position is the ability to orchestrate and deliver integrated, multi-division solutions, coordinating inputs across ABB portfolios to provide customers with complete, value-driven offerings. By enabling a cohesive, full-solution bidding approach, the role strengthens ABB’s competitive positioning in complex pursuits.

Additionally, you will play a critical role in adapting and executing global sales support strategies within the Canadian market, aligning technical configuration capabilities with commercial priorities to enhance customer value, operational efficiency, and overall business performance.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Electrification Business Unit in Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate global sales support strategy into a nationally aligned commercial execution model for configuration and quotation activities, including multi-division solution offering.

  • Define and govern bid strategy frameworks (including bid/no-bid decisions) to optimize resource allocation and maximize win probability.

  • Lead the development of competitive, commercially sound bids, and proposals, integrating solutions across Electrification, Motion/Drives, and Medium/High Voltage portfolios.

  • Act as a key advisor to Sales Leadership, contributing to deal shaping, pricing strategy, and risk positioning.

  • Define and lead the national channel partner strategy for projects, ensuring alignment of partner capabilities, coverage models, and growth initiatives with ABB's commercial objectives and project pursuit priorities.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Configuration & Quotation Specialists, fostering technical excellence, commercial acumen, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Develop and present executive-level business reviews to senior leadership, providing insights on pipeline health, bid effectiveness, win/loss performance, commercial risks, and growth opportunities.

  • Lead the end-to-end management of strategic projects and pursuits, orchestrating all stakeholders, milestones, and commercial activities from opportunity identification and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract award.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in electrical systems, bid management, or commercial operations

  • Proven experience leading teams and complex bid environments with measurable business impact

  • Strong knowledge of low voltage distribution industry and markets

  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative, and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously with a collaborative, solution-focused and detail-oriented approach

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required. French language skills are considered an asset in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located inside of Quebec.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $128, 850 and $171,800 annually and is bonus eligible.
