Your Role


Radio-Canada News is seeking a National Lineup Editor for its Sports team to prepare, co-ordinate and oversee content for the Radio-Canada website and other digital platforms (mobile app, newsletter, social media channels, etc.).


This position is part-time (three (3) days per week).


Reporting to the Sports Managing Editor (digital/radio/TV), you will leverage your journalistic integrity and confidence to edit and publish content aligned with CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices.


As the ideal candidate, you stay up to date on regional, national and international sports news and are known for sharp editorial judgment and impeccable French writing skills. You have a nose for news and a deep understanding of digital best practices to effectively engage target audiences and expand our reach. You will be required to work an evening shift, from 4 p.m. to midnight.


This role requires full-time on-site presence.


Job Requirements:


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Seven (7) years’ journalism experience or equivalent.

Skills:

  • Broad general knowledge.
  • In-depth knowledge of the sports scene.
  • Excellent editorial judgment.
  • A proven track record of creativity in news presentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital trends and emerging formats.
  • Excellent command of French; strong working knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Radio-Canada’s digital tools is an asset.
  • Thorough knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Journalistic Standards and Practices (JSP).
  • Strong grasp of newsroom logistics.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment under tight deadlines.
  • Confident, positive leadership style.

Shortlisted candidates will be tested as follows:

  • Journalistic assessment (general and sports knowledge, French grammar and writing).
  • Interview.
