As Manager with Business Marketing Planning and Intelligence, you’re responsible for the Business Services sector’s annual marketing planning, the development of its marketing positioning and the implementation of marketing initiatives. You oversee the analysis of various data sources, both qualitative and quantitative, to develop diagnostics to help the Business Services Executive Division achieve its business goals. You monitor the sector’s marketing performance and recommend concrete actions to optimize results and marketing investments. Finally, you build on our shift to a member/client culture within the business sector by implementing and monitoring the Net Promotor System vitality and by identifying and eliminating irritants for members and clients on an ongoing basis. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Expertise
    •    Lead the development of the annual marketing plan for the business sector and the implementation of its initiatives. Ensure consistency between marketing initiatives within the business sector to help reach targets.
    •    Support the Net Promotor System vitality in the sector by implementing a community involvement plan and the business loyalty strategy; follow up on both plans for the Business Services Executive Division. 
    •    Oversee the planning, execution and promotion of the business sector’s marketing research.
    •    Develop approaches per client segment and integrate knowledge of each into sector practices.
    •    Lead the marketing intelligence practice; plan and conduct competitive marketing analyses and benchmarking for the development of products and services, offer development and service delivery.
    •    Ensure marketing reporting and the optimization of initiatives based on results and the achievement of the sector’s business objectives.
    •    Be a promoter for marketing use cases to develop new analytical capabilities for marketing.
    •    Collaborate on the organization’s various strategic projects and initiatives, including the digital transformation of the business sector.

  • Management
    •    Meet targets and manage results, performance, quality and partner satisfaction.
    •    Establish management and communication practices that support change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, employee engagement and diversity, in keeping with Desjardins’s values.
    •    Manage employees’ performance.
    •    Continuously improve the team’s processes and practices.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a related field

  • At least nine years of relevant experience in marketing-related fields, including significant marketing experience and a minimum of 5 years in management

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Experience writing at the executive level

  • Experience working under pressure in a constantly changing environment

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
