Company Description

We’re RCL - Reitmans Canada Limited. We’ve been part of the fabric of Canada’s fashion landscape since 1926, and today, we’re elevating our iconic brands – Reitmans, RW&CO, and PENN. Penningtons – more than ever before.

Our vision is to empower Canadians to live confidently, and our mission is to create collections of uncompromising style and quality for all.

Job Description

As the Performance Media Manager, you will be the primary architect of RCL’s digital growth and the catalyst for our digital evolution. Reporting to the Director of Media and Growth, you will lead a high-performing media team to deliver best-in-class results while simultaneously future-proofing our media ecosystem.

You aren't just managing campaigns; you are transitioning the organization from legacy digital buying to a sophisticated, privacy-centric, and AI-driven performance engine. You will bridge the gap between current operational needs and the future of automated, data-led customer acquisition.

Key responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation

  • Future-Proofing: Develop and execute a roadmap to transition the business from third-party reliance to a robust First-Party data strategy, ensuring media resilience in a cookieless environment.
  • Innovation Pipeline: Act as the internal subject matter expert on emerging channels (Retail Media, CTV, Social Commerce) and AI-driven ad products.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Translate complex digital metrics into business-critical insights for executive leadership, moving the conversation from "clicks" to "business impact."
  • Partner with Media Strategists to orchestrate a unified "Brand-led Performance" strategy. You will break down traditional silos by ensuring brand-building awareness campaigns and high-intent performance tactics work in a continuous feedback loop—leveraging performance data to inform brand creative and using brand reach to "warm up" audiences for the performance funnel.

Performance & Measurement Excellence

  • Develops and presents strategies and tactics to support path to acquisition and conversion funnel through a data-driven approach across paid digital solutions and metrics to key competitive edge
  • Advanced Analytics: Move beyond basic CPA/ROI to implement Incrementality testing and contribute to Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM) to prove the true value of digital spend.
  • Audience Architecture: Oversee the development of sophisticated audience segments, ensuring high-quality signals are fed into platform algorithms.
  • Growth Optimization: Lead the strategy for full-funnel integration, ensuring paid media supports both short-term conversion and long-term brand equity
  • Leverages digital tools to acquire information on digital media trend research and competitive benchmarks.

Operational Evolution & Team Mentorship

  • Automation Oversight: Guide the Digital Media Specialists to move away from manual trafficking and toward strategic signal management and creative testing frameworks.
  • Agile Management: Foster a culture of rapid experimentation to constantly improve ROAS and LTV.
  • Talent Development: Coach and upskill the team to ensure they remain competitive in an evolving landscape, focusing on data literacy and strategic thinking.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in E‑commerce, Marketing, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems
  • 5+ years of experience in a digital media environment, including account management and/or client management experience
  • Strong expertise in self-serve digital media platforms and performance analytics tools
  • Solid experience with digital advertising operations, including the use of ad‑serving platforms and automation solutions
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into strategic, performance‑driven growth recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong ability to manage multiple long‑term strategic projects in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required to effectively collaborate with internal and external teams
