We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager, Partner Commissions to oversee and manage commission programs for our partners. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of commissions specialists as well as creating, managing, and optimizing commission structures for our partner network, ensuring fairness, accuracy, and transparency in all commission calculations. This role will work closely with internal teams such as Partnerships GTM, Finance, and Information Systems to track performance, reconcile payments, and provide insights into commission program effectiveness.
What you’ll be doing:
- Partner Commission Program Management: Develop, implement, and manage partner commission structures, ensuring they align with business goals and incentivize desired outcomes.
- Commission Calculation and Payment Processing: Oversee the accurate and timely calculation of partner commissions, ensuring all payments are processed correctly and on schedule.
- Tracking and Reporting: Maintain and track commission data, generating reports for internal teams and partners. Provide regular updates on commission performance and adjustments.
- Commission Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve commission discrepancies or disputes, working with internal stakeholders to ensure fair outcomes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Partnerships GTM, Finance, Legal, and Information Systems teams to ensure commission programs are executed effectively and compliant with policies and contracts.
- Performance Analysis and Optimization: Analyze commission program performance and identify opportunities for improvements. Recommend adjustments to optimize incentive structures and improve partner satisfaction and performance.
- System and Tool Management: Utilize commission management tools and CRM systems to track partner sales performance and ensure accurate commission tracking.
- People Management & Enablement: Manage, coach and mentor a team of Partner Commissions Analysts.
- Partner Contract Standardization: Lead efforts to standardize partner contracts in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment of terms and commission triggers
Managerial Scope and Level Expectations:
- Manages professional employees
- Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own area of specialty
- Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
- Decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and department plan; receives guidance from manager
- Provides technical and mentorship guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
What you need to bring:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance, sales operations, commissions, operations, or a related field
- Strong understanding of commission structures and sales incentive plans
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- High proficiency in Excel or similar data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact effectively with external partners
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
Even better if you have, but not neccesary:
- Experience with partner programs and channel management
- Experience in SaaS or tech industries
- Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools
- Experience with automation of commission processes and tools
