Job Description

Reitmans (Canada) Limited (RCL) is looking for a Manager, Compliance & Audit to own and evolve our enterprise-wide control environment. This is a highly visible leadership role at the intersection of Finance, Operations, IT, and Risk—focused on embedding strong, practical controls that support how the business operates and grows.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead enterprise-wide risk assessments, identifying and prioritizing key operational, financial, and system-related risks
  • Translate risk insights into clear, practical control strategies that support decision-making and governance
  • Own and continuously evolve the company’s overall control environment, ensuring consistency and scalability
  • Design and embed effective controls into end-to-end business processes, with a focus on automation and prevention
  • Lead the ICFR framework in line with NI 52-109, including scoping, testing, remediation, and certification support
  • Partner on major transformation initiatives (ERP, systems, process redesign) to ensure controls are built in from the start
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing pragmatic guidance on risk, controls, and compliance trade-offs
  • Collaborate with external auditors and support Audit Committee and Board-level reporting
  • Promote a culture where compliance enables performance, agility, and strong governance

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • CPA designation
  • 10+ years of experience in audit, compliance, or internal controls
  • Deep expertise in ICFR and public company governance (NI 52-109)
  • Strong ability to connect risk, controls, systems, and business processes
  • A strategic yet pragmatic mindset with strong execution focus
  • Proven ability to influence and partner at the executive level
