Amber is looking for a German LQA Tester to work at our offices in Montreal on an on-call basis. Training will be offered for people without prior experience.


You will be testing games in matter to find linguistic, visual, and cultural issues on the localized text of various game titles on mobile (iOS and Android), PC and console in a multilingual team of LQA testers. If your eagle eyes can spot an extra space, improper phrasing, a misspelled word, or a cultural faux pas in your language, we want to hear from you!


YOUR MISSION:

·        Testing video game titles and verifying all text, images, and voice-over components in German

·        Finding translation, contextual, cultural, and other linguistic errors in video game titles

·        Reporting errors in a bug-tracking database and/or translation document in a clear manner

·        Providing resolutions for errors reported to improve the linguistic and translated content

·        Following and respecting terminology guidelines

·        Cross-checking issues between different languages with your team

·        Reporting to and following instructions from the Test Lead

·        Addressing and escalating problems to the Test Lead

YOU WILL NEED:

·        Native-level language competency in German

·        Professional-level language competency in English

·        Proof of existing eligibility to work in Canada

·        Experience using mobile, PC and console devices and knowledge of their terminology

·        Passion for video games

·        Impeccable attention to detail

·        Professional competency in English

Testeur en assurance qualité linguistique (Allemand)

Amber recherche un testeur ou testeuse en AQ linguistique pour l’allemand afin de travailler sur appel dans nos bureaux de Montréal. Une formation sera offerte aux personnes sans expérience préalable.

Vous testerez des jeux vidéo afin de repérer les problèmes linguistiques, visuels et culturels dans les textes localisés de divers titres sur mobile (iOS et Android), PC et console, au sein d’une équipe multilingue de testeurs AQL. Si votre œil de lynx repère la moindre faute de ponctuation, une tournure maladroite, une faute d’orthographe ou un faux pas culturel, pensez à nous contacter!

 

VOTRE MISSION:

 ·        Tester des jeux vidéo et vérifier tous les textes, images et composantes audio en allemand

·        Détecter les erreurs de traduction, de contexte, culturelles et linguistiques

·        Consigner les erreurs dans une base de suivi des bogues ou un document de traduction de façon claire et concise

·        Proposer des solutions pour corriger les erreurs signalées et améliorer le contenu traduit

·        Respecter les directives terminologiques établies

·        Valider et comparer les problèmes entre différentes langues avec votre équipe

·        Suivre les consignes du responsable d’équipe de test

·        Signaler, puis au besoin escalader, les problèmes au / à la chef·fe d’équipe de test

VOUS DEVEZ AVOIR:

·        Maîtrise de l’allemand, niveau langue maternelle

·        Maîtrise de l’anglais, niveau professionnel

·        Preuve d’admissibilité au travail au Canada

VOS ATOUTS:

·        Expérience des appareils mobiles, PC et consoles et connaissance de leur terminologie spécifique

·        Passion pour les jeux vidéo
