Crawford is hiring a Liability Claims Supervisor to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. The position location is flexible, and we can offer in-office, hybrid or fully remote working arrangements.


The successful candidate will supervise adjusters, monitor quality, and assist the Branch Manager with administrative tasks, strategy implementation and mentoring while completing files in accordance with provincial licensing requirements.


The Supervisor will also have adjusting responsibilities, handling some claim files as needed. 


This role requires frequent interactions in English and requires reading and preparing documents in English on a frequent basis.

Responsibilities
  • Surveiller les pratiques d'ajustement de l'équipe assignée.
  • Examiner les politiques et régler les sinistres tout en maintenant les coûts des sinistres et en respectant les réglementations provinciales en matière de licences.
  • Enquêter, recueillir et analyser les informations sur les sinistres.
  • Enregistrer, rapporter et présenter les dossiers avec précision.
  • Travailler avec le directeur de la succursale pour maintenir les relations avec les clients.
  • Maintenir des dossiers précis de facturation, de temps et de dépenses.
  • Effectuer des évaluations de performance, identifier les besoins en formation et suivre la satisfaction des employés au travail.
  • Des déplacements occasionnels sur les sites de sinistres sont requis.

  • Monitor adjusting practices of assigned team.
  • Examine policies and settle claims while maintaining claims costs and abiding by provincial licensing regulations. 
  • Investigate, collect and analyze claims information. 
  • Accurately record, report, and present files. 
  • Work with Branch Manager to maintain client relations. 
  • Maintain accurate billing and time and expense records. 
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training requirements and monitor employee job satisfaction.
  • Some travel to claim sites is required from time to time. 
Qualifications
  • Minimum de 7 ans d'expérience technique en ajustement de réclamations dans les domaines de la responsabilité civile, des accidents, des biens ou des secteurs connexes.
  • Permis AMF personnel et commercial.
  • Excellentes compétences bilingues en français et en anglais.
  • Solides compétences en gestion.
  • Capable de gérer plusieurs priorités.
  • Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles et en communication.
  • Grand souci du détail.

  • Minimum 7 years of technical claims adjusting experience in liability, casualty, property or related areas. 
  • Personal and commercial AMF license.
  • Strong bilingual skills in both French and English.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
