What You Will Do
- Lead the IT-BCP operations team within the Operational Resilience function, accountable for continuity planning, testing, and validation across all technology portfolios.
- Partner with engineering, architecture, and DR teams to align continuity objectives with system recovery capabilities and RTO/RPO targets.
- Manage the end-to-end continuity planning lifecycle - from critical service identification through plan creation, validation, and periodic testing.
- Facilitate continuity exercises (tabletop, component, or service-level), ensuring they yield actionable insights and measurable improvements.
- Translate technical and testing outcomes into business-relevant reporting that informs leadership decisions.
- Partner with Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity peers to ensure IT continuity outcomes align to enterprise resilience priorities.
- Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and test calendars to track plan maturity, validation coverage, and remediation progress.
- Coach plan owners and service teams on continuity standards, dependency mapping, and test execution.
Tactical & Operational Responsibilities
- Oversee continuity plan quality and validation, ensuring each plan is executable, current, and aligned to real system configurations.
- Perform dependency analysis across business processes, applications, and infrastructure layers to ensure continuity objectives are feasible.
- Coordinate testing cycles and readiness assessments, capturing evidence for compliance and audit review.
- Partner with DR and Incident Management teams to integrate continuity with change, problem, and event response workflows.
- Track test findings, drive remediation closure, and report maturity progress to leadership.
- Maintain and enhance continuity frameworks, templates, and data models that enable self-service planning across technology portfolios.
- Serve as a bridge between IT service owners and business continuity partners, ensuring both technology and business requirements are met.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in Business Continuity, IT Operations, or Risk/Resilience disciplines.
- Proven experience executing and validating continuity plans across complex enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of IT service architectures, dependencies, and operational workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with technical and business stakeholders to align recovery expectations.
Preferred Skills / Education
- Experience with continuity management or ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Fusion, Archer).
- Working knowledge of resilience frameworks such as ISO 22301 or NIST SP 800-34.
- Certifications such as ABCP, CBCP, ITIL v4, or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer.
- Strong analytical and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate between business risk and technology capability.
- Known for being a technical practitioner who drives tangible readiness, not just documentation.
