  • Own the technical architecture, engineering standards, and key technology decisions for OMS platforms and related integrations.

  • Design and build scalable, resilient, API-first and event-driven services supporting omnichannel commerce use cases such as Click & Collect (BOPIS), Ship-from-Store, Endless Aisle, and Delivery Promise. Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Retail Technology, Supply Chain, and Business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

  • Drive integration of OMS with Commerce Platforms, ERP, WMS, Payments, Logistics, and Customer Service systems.

  • Ensure inventory visibility, order processing, fulfilment, and returns workflows are accurate, reliable, and scalable across channels and regions.

  • Champion engineering excellence through code quality, automated testing, secure development practices, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish and promote best practices in microservices, cloud-native architecture, observability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.

  • Mentor and coach engineers, providing technical guidance, architecture reviews, and hands-on support for complex initiatives.

  • Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and automation to improve developer productivity, quality, and delivery efficiency.

YOUR TALENT
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building Order Management capabilities using Java/Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks, including implementation, extension, integration, and customization of packaged or custom order management solutions.

  • 3+ years of experience leading a technical capability, project or engineering team.

  • Experience with enterprise order management platforms such as Fluent Commerce (preferred), IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan Associates, Kibo Commerce, or Salesforce OMS is highly desirable.

  • Hands-on software engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, and modern microservices architectures, building scalable, resilient, and production-grade services.

  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end order lifecycle, including order capture, sourcing, fulfilment, shipment, returns, exchanges, and post-purchase processes.

  • Proven experience customizing and extending OMS capabilities to support evolving business requirements, omnichannel fulfilment models, and enterprise integrations.

  • Strong knowledge of omnichannel commerce operations, including Ship-from-Store (SFS), Buy Online Pick Up In Store (BOPIS), Ship-to-Store, Curbside Pickup, Endless Aisle, and associated order routing strategies.

  • Solid understanding of inventory management, sourcing optimization, fulfilment orchestration, and order allocation concepts across stores, DCs, and third-party fulfilment networks.

  • Proven experience integrating OMS platforms with Commerce, WMS, ERP, POS, Payment, 3PL, Carrier, and Customer Service systems to enable end-to-end order visibility and orchestration.

  • Experience designing OMS-centric microservice architectures with clear domain boundaries across Order Management, Inventory, Sourcing, Fulfilment, Returns, and Customer Service capabilities.

  • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms for event-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and enterprise-scale system integrations.

  • Experience with performance engineering, scalability testing, and optimization of high-throughput, business-critical commerce platforms.

  • Experience defining and implementing capacity planning, resiliency, and scaling strategies to support peak trading events and global commerce operations.

  • Experience driving technical architecture, establishing engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and influencing technical direction across cross-functional teams.

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools, coding agents, and LLM-powered development workflows to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery efficiency.
