What you'll be doing
As a member of CIBC’s Credit Adjudication team, you’ll work in a fast-paced operational environment where you’ll make a meaningful difference in our clients’ lives. The Junior Controls Analyst works together with other Underwriters and may work independently to validate mortgage documents are complete based on specific pre-determined criteria required for the advancement and to finalize the lending application. You’re flexible to work our business hours which may include evenings and weekends.

How you'll succeed
- Planning & Coordination - Review Purchase and Sale Agreements and ensure it meets document standardization guidelines. Review Appraisal Reports and ensure the system inputs match the report provided by FNF. Support document retention process, ensure any required documents and calculators are imaged to the application and meet standard documentation guidelines. Validate adjudicator client and solicitor conditions have been added and are clear. Prioritize, organize workload. Cross train in other positions to assist/provide support to other team members/area(s) of equal value in peak times or on a temporary basis to ensure Service Level Agreements are met
- Data Analysis - Conduct investigation and analyze data to identify potential issues that impact adjudication approval, identify root cause and recommend resolution to the adjudicator. Using an excel calculator, validate system inputs to the documentation submitted by the lender.
- Research & Development - Conduct in-depth research using multiple systems and reports to obtain information and resolve discrepancies. Maintain current knowledge of CIBC/department compliance policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure privacy and confidentiality of information at all times. Ensure awareness od recurring problems, potential losses and fraud to reduce the risk of exposure and maintain governance standards
- Documentation - Prepare correspondence on findings and complete necessary documentation to support investigation process, findings and actions taken.
