ABOUT THE TEAMThe Compliance team is a small one with a large scope of activities. We design, implement and manage Reputational Due Diligence and Sanctions verifications and ensure adherence to the organization’s Code of Conduct.
ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs an Intern, Compliance, you’ll:
Assist the team in the reputational due diligence and/or background check process to ensure compliance with internal procedures and guidelines
Assist the team in performing the Code of Conduct controls, monitoring and reporting and in improving them
Assist the team in responding to internal requests
Perform various tasks as needed such as documenting processes, drafting/reviewing operational procedures, participating in monitoring activities
Replace absent team members by ensuring critical or time-sensitive tasks are completed
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Law (with an interest in finance)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing deadlines and prioritizing responsibilities efficiently
Strong interpersonal skills: team spirit and ability to develop positive relationships with peers and internal clients
Excellent focus on detail and good organizational skills
Demonstrates work ethic, professional integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential information
Knowledge of financial products and markets
Proficiency with technology tools: strong ability to use new software and Excel
Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
