The Investment Finance Department is responsible for performing investment activity accounting, preparing financial information related to private asset classes and related management reports and preparing financial statements for our legal entities. We are also responsible for collecting referential data related to private market asset class investments and underlings in order to meet the information needs of our stakeholders.
ABOUT YOUR ROLEAs an Intern, Accounting and operations, Investment Finance, you’ll:
Prepare and record the investment transactions
Prepare the financial statements of PSP’s legal subsidiaries
Participate in data gathering on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, to ensure the proper usage of the reporting system and to support the group in various financial analyses
Assist in various other tasks specific to the team’s activities
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Business administration or Accounting
Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high level of autonomy
Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation
Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients
Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position. No support to obtain the right to work will be provided
