About the Role
We are seeking a technically strong Infrastructure Support Specialist to join our high-performing Operations Services Team. This role is at the intersection of data centre operations and modern cloud infrastructure, requiring hands on expertise in automation, Linux/Windows administration, and cloud platforms. You will be a key contributor to a 24/7 production environment, supporting critical systems across two data centre locations.
Our team operates on a rotating shift schedule of 3 x 12.5-hour shifts per week on a 6-week rotation, with shifts starting at 6:30 AM or 6:30 PM. Reliable personal transportation is required. Limited overtime may be required for project activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Data Centre Facilities
Monitor, control, and report on site service technician activities and hosted customer systems to ensure continuous operational integrity.
Enforce Data Centre security standards in accordance with PCI DSS, COBIT frameworks, internal policies, and applicable governmental regulations.
Manage physical infrastructure tasks including server racking/decommissioning, hardware labelling, and provisioning of power, LAN, and SAN connections.
Conduct proactive monitoring and scheduled inspections of facilities and server systems; escalate anomalies and incidents with urgency and precision.
Maintain data centre environments to the highest standards of cleanliness, documentation accuracy, and operational readiness.
Receive and physically deploy new server hardware in support of infrastructure buildouts and refresh cycles.
Systems & Cloud Operations Administration
Cloud & Automation (Priority): Candidates with hands-on Azure administration, RedHat RHCSA certification, Ansible Tower automation, and BigFix experience will be strongly preferred.
Monitor, triage, and resolve incidents and service requests through the ServiceNow ITSM platform in alignment with defined SLAs.
Deliver first-line technical support across all data centre systems and applications, with a strong bias toward root cause analysis and permanent resolution.
Administer and patch RHEL and Windows Server environments (2012–2025) across physical, virtual (VMware ESX), and cloud (Azure) platforms using BigFix automation tooling.
Performance monitoring and basic administration of servers.
Oversee CommVault Backup operations including media management, job scheduling, failure analysis, and escalation workflows.
Design and execute automation scripts and operational runbooks using Ansible Tower to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
Lead server build and decommission projects end-to-end planning, execution, documentation, and handoff with precision and efficiency.
Document all operational tasks, incident resolutions, and process improvements within ServiceNow to maintain a high-quality knowledge base.
Adapt proactively to shifting organizational priorities, taking on additional responsibilities as the business evolves.
About You
University Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in an infrastructure operations or systems administration role within a 24/7 production environment involving data centre and cloud platforms.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Azure including VM management, Azure Monitor, cost management, and cloud-native administration tasks.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu — covering system administration, process management, file systems, user/group permissions, package management (yum/dnf/apt), and shell scripting. RedHat RHCSA certification is a strong asset.
Solid knowledge of Windows OS environments including Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022/2025 and Windows 10/11. Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, Task Scheduler, Event Viewer, registry management, and PowerShell administration.
Proven experience with automation tools Ansible Tower, BigFix, or equivalent with the ability to build, maintain, and optimize automation workflows.
Familiarity with Control-M job scheduling and SolarWinds an asset.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, Active Directory.
Competent in scripting and troubleshooting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to support automation and operational tasks.

The annual pay range for this role is $72,800-$81,120 CAD, inclusive of base salary and target incentive pay.
