POSITION OVERVIEW


At BDC, the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs, we support the growth of small and medium-sized businesses across Canada.
As an IT Solution Integrator, you will play a strategic role in designing, integrating and optimizing complex technology solutions in critical environments. You will ensure close alignment between business needs and IT system capabilities, directly contributing to the reliability and scalability of enterprise platforms.


CHALLENGES TO BE MET


  • Design IT architectures adapted to insurance software packages and enterprise systems, including integration with Interact, Genesys, Workday and other SaaS platforms.
  • Evaluate, design and integrate modules, components and solutions from insurance packages and enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, architecture teams and business stakeholders to ensure solution consistency, performance and sustainability.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of IT systems and recommend appropriate architectures, integration patterns and technology approaches.
  • Oversee testing, validation, integration, deployment and production rollout phases.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, quality, performance and interoperability standards.
  • Participate in the evaluation, selection and integration of new software packages, decision engines and enterprise platforms.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Proven experience in systems integration and IT architecture.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms or software packages.
  • PowerShell development skills.
  • Experience with an API Manager (e.g., MuleSoft or equivalent).
  • Full software lifecycle experience (requirements, design, development, testing, release).
  • Experience with software engineering practices: CI/CD, Release Pipeline, Azure DevOps.
  • Experience building secure solutions.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and practices.
  • Ability to gather business and technical requirements and translate them into action plans.
  • Strong analytical, documentation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience delivering projects in an Agile environment.
  • Bilingual (French and English), verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microservices‑based architectures.
  • Experience with TDD and Pair Programming.
  • Experience with Scrum or Kanban.
  • Agile experience using Azure DevOps (AzDo).
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools.
  • Experience working with third‑party vendors.
