Support Directors in corporate financing by performing financial analysis and modelling, preparing credit submissions, managing transactions, conducting KYC/AML due diligence and maintaining portfolio data integrity while identifying cross‑sell opportunities and supporting client relations.

Provides executive administrative support to the Senior Vice-President of Defence Strategy and the leadership team. Responsibilities include complex calendar and travel management, meeting coordination, agenda preparation, action-item follow-up, invoice and expense monitoring, confidential information handling, stakeholder communication, and priority management. The role also collaborates with executive assistants and supports cross-functional initiatives in a high-tempo environment.

Supports operational risk and compliance programs for lending activities. Responsibilities include risk assessments, root cause analysis, internal control design, RCSA participation, audit follow-up, corrective action monitoring, governance development, compliance monitoring, reporting, and process improvement. The role collaborates with business stakeholders and second-line risk partners to strengthen controls, address findings, and improve risk management effectiveness.

Coordinate and prepare consolidated and non-consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, notes, MD&A, dashboards and board materials. Ensure IFRS compliance, support auditors, analyze and implement new IFRS standards, monitor capital adequacy and RORAC, reconcile capital calculations, liaise with Portfolio Management, assign team tasks, and drive process improvements including AI and automation adoption.

Performs quarterly and ad hoc fair value assessments for equity and debt investments supporting financial reporting. Reviews valuation methodologies, assumptions, financial models, market data, and documentation; identifies issues and recommends solutions. Partners with investment teams, auditors, valuation committees, and senior management to communicate results. Analyzes portfolio and industry trends while supporting automation and responsible AI adoption in valuation, accounting, audit, and reporting workflows.

Lead due diligence and credit analysis for medium-to-high complexity loan proposals. Structure terms, pricing, conditions and covenants, prepare high-quality loan packages, negotiate with internal partners, resolve compliance issues, and maintain relationships to ensure adherence to BDC credit policies.

Serve as Scrum Master for two teams: coach Agile mindset and practices, facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, support Product Owner, manage cross-team dependencies, track metrics, and promote continuous improvement across the organization.

Lead underwriting for medium-to-high complexity loan proposals: perform due diligence, credit analysis, structure deals, set terms/pricing/covenants, liaise with internal partners, ensure policy compliance, and maintain client and internal relationships.

Lead architecture and modernization of customer-facing platforms using Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure. Define end-to-end solutions, produce architecture artifacts, guide development teams, ensure alignment with enterprise standards, run proofs-of-concept (including AI/Copilot), support vendor selection and cost estimation, and act as subject-matter expert throughout the solution lifecycle.

Manage and grow small-business client relationships for the Virtual Business Centre. Develop retention and marketing strategies, identify financing and consulting opportunities, prepare and negotiate high-quality loan proposals using sound credit analysis, meet financial and customer retention goals, and collaborate with team members while maintaining policy compliance.

Lead COO portfolio planning and implementation: develop multi-year strategy and annual business plans, prioritize initiatives, build business cases, mobilize cross-functional teams, establish governance and KPIs, and ensure delivery of transformation and operational improvements.

Support procurement and procure-to-pay activities for contingent workforce, contractors, and low-complexity goods/services. Manage purchase orders, contracts, supplier communications, supplier onboarding, P2P operations, compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement while ensuring audit-ready procurement records.

Lead and deliver operations advisory projects for SMEs, including process and plant layout optimization, operational efficiency improvements, project management, and business development support. Serve as subject-matter expert, develop advisory solutions, support proposals and outreach, and transfer knowledge to Client Partners to drive measurable client outcomes.

Provide end-to-end KYC support for loan applications: review client files, obtain and verify KYC documentation, analyze information, flag non-compliance, follow up with clients, and collaborate with Business Development Leads and Underwriters to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submissions.

Lead Finance application and data strategy, owning finance systems, data governance, controls and capability planning. Manage a team to support ERP, automation and analytics initiatives, drive adoption, improve processes and ensure reliable reporting, controls and scalable decision support across Finance.

Lead full talent acquisition cycle for Quebec and Atlantic: advise hiring leaders, source and engage candidates, build pipelines, use AI tools daily, ensure inclusive hiring, coach stakeholders, and manage offers and candidate experience.
