About the Business Development Department 

At UPS, our Business Development team is the driving force behind our growth. We partner with businesses of all sizes to deliver innovative logistics solutions, helping them succeed in an ever-changing global market. Our Inside Sales Representative acts as a trusted advisor - for growing UPS Small Package business within the small customer segment. With clear growth opportunities—from Inside Sales Representative into Account Executive—your development never stops. 

Job Summary  

This entry business development position level is responsible of prospecting for new customers while working with existing clients to retain and grow revenue within an assigned book of business. The successful candidate has exceptional relationship building and communication skills to effectively assess customer needs and present appropriate solutions to support both revenue growth and retention of existing business. This role assists customers in navigating the ever-changing world of logistics and researches the competitive environment and uses product knowledge to generate creative and unique solutions to meet customer needs and business objectives. 

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent / Remote

Workdays: Monday to Friday (must be able to work ALL 5 days of the week)  

Shift Hours: 8.30 AM to 5.00 PM (must be able to work a minimum of 40 hrs. per week)  

Shift Duration: 8 hours a day (requires flexibility with Start and Finish time)

Wage Salary: $20.12 per hour 

Key Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Prospect for new clients to expand market share in the small customer segment. 

  • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries timely and effectively. 

  • Develop strong relationships with existing customers to support growth and ensure a positive customer experience with every interaction. 

  • Creates and positions compelling value proposals to potential and existing customers. 

  • Participate in weekly team meetings and training sessions.

Requirements    

  • Plus 2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or a related industry – Required 

  • Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken) – Required (regular interactions with clients outside Quebec – 50%) 

  • Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook (Microsoft Office) and Salesforce 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Strong financial and market knowledge 

  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills 

  • Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle | Class 5 License 

  • Availability to work flexible hours and provides own vehicle for business 

  • Bachelor's degree or International equivalent – Preferred
