This Position reports to:

HR Business Partner
 

Your role and responsibilities

The HR Intern will play a key role in supporting the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) team in delivering exceptional HR support across our Canadian workforce. This role provides hands-on experience in a wide range of HR functions, including Workday transactions, employee engagement, HR reporting, philanthropy initiatives, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student or early-career professional interested in developing foundational HR skills within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
The work model for the role is: hybrid

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Operations & Workday Administration

  • Process Workday transactions.
  • Support data accuracy by conducting audits and assisting with corrections.
  • Respond to HRBP inquiries and escalate, when needed.

2. Employee Engagement & Experience Programs

  • Assist with the coordination and administration of employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and social/employee appreciation events.
  • Support the management of employee discount programs and related communications.

3. DEI & Philanthropy Support

  • Assist with planning and communication of DEI initiatives, events, and learning sessions.
  • Support the execution of philanthropy initiatives.
  • Track participation, compile summaries, and prepare follow-up documentation.

4. HR Reporting & Analytics

  • Help prepare HR reports and dashboards (e.g., headcount, turnover, engagement activity tracking) under the guidance of HRBPs.
  • Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends and insights.
  • Maintain documentation and help improve reporting processes.

5. General HR Support

  • Assist with onboarding activities (documentation, sessions, preparation).
  • Provide administrative support for employee lifecycle processes.
  • Participate in special projects across HR.

Qualifications:

  • In 3rd or 4th year of bachelor’s degree in human resources, management or related fields
  • Strong collaborative spirit, proactive mindset, organized and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Digitally savvy, with strong proficiency in Office 365, Teams, and modern collaboration tools.
  • Familiar with Workday is an asset
  • French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
