POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Human Resources Advisor, you act as a key partner and first point of contact for first‑level leaders regarding human resources policies, processes, and practices. In close collaboration with the Human Resources Business Partner, you ensure that all aspects of the HR lifecycle are effectively supported, from onboarding through employee movement and offboarding.

Through sound judgment, quality advice, and proactive solutions, the Human Resources Advisor enables leaders to confidently manage their teams while ensuring consistency, equity, and an exceptional people management experience. Furthermore, the Human Resources Advisor offers leaders and Human Resources Business partners, operational support in administrative HR tasks and processes.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Act as the primary HR contact for first‑level leaders, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and people‑management practices.

  • Partner closely with the Human Resources Business Partner to support all stages of the HR cycle for an assigned client group, i.e., talent cycle activities, performance management, and support for performance improvement plans.

  • Assess leader inquiries, provide timely and practical solutions, and escalate complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team when required.

  • Prioritize and follow through on cases to ensure complete resolution and high service standards.

  • Maintain up ‑to‑date knowledge of HR policies, programs, and systems to effectively support leaders.

  • Leverage and promote self‑service tools and standardized processes to enable leaders and streamline HR operations.

  • Provide administrative and operational support to HR Business Partners, including reporting, presentations, and HR initiatives aligned with business needs.

  • Contribute to HR projects aimed at process improvement, standardization, and increased use of technology.

  • Use HR data and insights to produce reports, track KPIs, and support informed decision‑making.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or other relevant degree

  • Certified HR professional designation (CHRP/CIRC) an asset

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in human resources, especially in an advisory role

  • Workday knowledge an asset

  • Excellent client service skills on the phone and in writing

  • Bilingualism

  • Excellent understanding of HR programs and practices and ability to explain them to employees

  • Sense of urgency and continuous improvement mindset

  • Detailed-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both official languages (English & French)

  • Experience using HR Information systems and good knowledge of Microsoft Office
