L’opportunité

Hitachi Énergie est à la recherche d’un(e) Gestionnaire SSE – Projets d’infrastructures électriques pour soutenir l’exécution sécuritaire des projets de Grid Integration et d’infrastructures énergétiques au Québec et en Amérique du Nord. Basé(e) à Montréal, vous agirez comme principal point de contact SSE tout au long du cycle de vie des projets, en collaborant étroitement avec les équipes de projet, les entrepreneurs, le personnel de chantier et les clients afin d’intégrer efficacement les exigences en matière de santé, sécurité et environnement à toutes les étapes de la réalisation des projets.

De l’appel d’offres et de la préparation du site jusqu’à la construction, l’installation et la mise en service, vous gérerez les activités SSE des projets, soutiendrez les stratégies d’atténuation des risques, assurerez le suivi de la conformité, dirigerez les enquêtes d’incidents et favoriserez les initiatives d’amélioration continue. En travaillant sur des projets critiques d’infrastructures électriques, notamment dans les environnements de postes électriques et de haute tension, vous contribuerez à promouvoir une culture où la sécurité, l’excellence opérationnelle et la protection de l’environnement sont intégrées à chaque étape de l’exécution des projets. Votre impact

  • Collaborer avec les équipes de projet afin d’examiner les portées de travaux, les soumissions, les plans SSE et les qualifications des sous-traitants.
  • Agir comme principal point de contact SSE auprès des chantiers, des équipes de gestion et des clients.
  • Participer à l’identification des dangers et à la mise en œuvre de mesures efficaces de contrôle des risques.
  • Fournir des conseils, du soutien et de la formation SSE aux équipes de projet, entrepreneurs et employés de chantier.
  • Réaliser des audits et des visites de chantier afin d’évaluer la conformité et d’améliorer la performance SSE.
  • Soutenir les enquêtes d’incidents, les analyses des causes fondamentales et la mise en œuvre des mesures correctives.
  • Suivre les tendances SSE et recommander des actions préventives et des initiatives d’amélioration continue.
  • Préparer et présenter des rapports SSE tout en assurant la tenue de la documentation requise.
  • Responsable d’assurer la conformité aux règlements, procédures et directives applicables, tant à l’interne qu’à l’externe.

Votre profil

  • Le candidat doit déjà détenir l’autorisation légale de travailler pour Hitachi Énergie au Canada.
  • Formation postsecondaire en santé et sécurité au travail, en ingénierie, en environnement, en gestion de la construction ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Minimum de 8 années d’expérience professionnelle en santé, sécurité et environnement.
  • Disponibilité pour voyager jusqu’à 25 % du temps.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en leadership, en relations interpersonnelles et en mobilisation des parties prenantes.
  • Capacité de lire, écrire et communiquer en français.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication écrite et verbale en anglais technique.
  • Capacité à travailler efficacement au sein d’équipes matricielles et multidisciplinaires.
  • Une certification professionnelle (p. ex. CSP, CIH) est considérée comme un atout.
  • Expérience en SSE dans des projets de construction, incluant la préparation de site, la démolition, l’installation et la mise en service, considérée comme un atout.
  • Expérience en sécurité électrique dans des environnements de distribution à haute tension considérée comme un atout.
  • Connaissance des projets de construction de postes électriques considérée comme un atout.

HSE Manager – Power Infrastructure Projects

The Opportunity

Hitachi Energy is seeking an HSE Manager – Power Infrastructure Projects to support the safe execution of Grid Integration and power infrastructure projects across Quebec and North America. Based in Montreal, you will serve as the HSE focal point throughout the project lifecycle, partnering with project teams, contractors, site personnel, and customers to ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are effectively integrated into project planning and execution.

From tendering and site preparation through construction, installation, and commissioning, you will manage project HSE activities, support risk mitigation strategies, monitor project compliance, lead incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Working on critical power infrastructure projects, including substations and high-voltage environments, you will play a key role in promoting a culture where safety, operational excellence, and environmental stewardship are embedded in every phase of project delivery.   • Partner with project teams to review project scopes, tenders, HSE plans, and subcontractor qualifications.

Your Background

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
  • Postsecondary education in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Studies, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional HSE experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in French.
  • Excellent technical English writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate within and support matrixed leadership and functional teams.
