About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Fullstack Developer to join our team at Tecsys. If you love working in a team and have a strong drive, this role is perfect for you. You'll collaborate with innovative colleagues to develop scalable software solutions that address customers’ requirements.

Responsibilities

- Review and understand customers’ requirements.

- Design, develop, review, and test software as part of a multifunctional team.

- Bring innovative solutions to problems and challenge assumptions.

- Balance business needs with technical feasibility.

- Develop and test user interfaces that offer a great user experience.

- Correct any defects found in the code by QA or by customer

- Provide feedback to the team leader of any changes that would adversely affect deadlines.

- At times, perform peer code reviews.

- Write code according to EBS standards and best practices.

- Adhere to all established policies and procedures.

- Provide feedback to the manager on ways to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the team.

- Ensure performance and scalability requirements are met.

• 3+ years of software development experience with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing backend applications in Java.
• Familiarity with ERP application.
• Understanding of object-oriented design patterns and REST services.
• Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server).
• Familiarity with IDEs and version control (Eclipse, Git, Maven).
• Experience with interfacing technologies such as XML, JSON, web services (REST, SOAP), EDI, as well as ETL (extract, transform, and load) concepts and technologies.
• Experience with unit testing (Junit, Jest, ….).
• Familiarity with Model-View-Controller design pattern, JSPs, Servlets, and EJBs.
• Experience with Java build automation tools (Maven).
• DevOps experience (logging, monitoring, alerts, optimizations, support).
• Experience with Eclipse, Subversion, TortoiseSVN, and secondly with WSAD and PVCS is an asset.
• Experience with Agile Development, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.

 Asset Qualifications:

• Experience with .lua or similar scripting language.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Knowledge of serverless architecture (AWS Lambda).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and infrastructure tools (Terraform).
• Web development skills (HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS).
• Knowledge of responsive design for various devices.
• Appreciation for user-centered design.
• Familiarity with Node.js.
• Proficiency in French.
