As a financial data valorization analyst, you use and valorize data that comes through different channels. You extract, describe, analyze and interpret the data needed to make informed business decisions. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You serve as a data use resource person for practitioners. More specifically, you will be required to:
Identify and analyze user needs, work on data valorization initiatives, and ensure operationalization through the cross-sector coordination required
Conduct research as well as descriptive and diagnostic analysis to ensure optimal data use, and then make recommendations to address business issues and needs
Carry out monthly and quarterly calculation and reporting activities
Identify opportunities to optimize work methods and processes, and recommend improvements to data management solutions
Align with software suppliers’ teams, business teams, IT, governance and other entities in the Desjardins ecosystem

What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, accounting, finance or a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Proficiency in SQL for database queries
Knowledge of the best data mining and usage techniques
Knowledge of the banking industry and financial reporting processes and terminology
