About the role

As an Events Marketing Specialist at Tecsys, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact events that strengthen our brand, engage prospects and customers, and enable our sales team. You will manage logistics, collaborate across marketing functions, and ensure a consistent and compelling presence at conferences, trade shows, and corporate events. This is a hands-on role where creativity, organization, and attention to detail directly contribute to business growth. 


Requirements

Event Logistics

  • Plan and execute logistics for conferences, trade shows, workshops, and corporate events.
  • Manage hotel room block for given events.
  • Manage venue selection, contract negotiation, vendor relationships, and on-site logistics.
  • Oversee event budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.

Marketing and Sales Collaboration

    • Partner with sales on regional event initiatives to align goals, ensure adequate support, and maximize impact. 
    • Educate and enable sales teams and internal stakeholders ahead of events to clarify roles, responsibilities, and expected outcomes. 
    • Support the development and execution of marketing strategies for assigned events. 
    • Partner with the broader marketing team to create promotional materials, signage, and event collateral. 
    • Contribute to pre-event and post-event campaigns to drive attendance, engagement, and follow-up. 
    • Ensure messaging and branding are consistent across all channels. 

Event Presence

  • Design and execute engaging and visually impactful trade show and event experiences.
  • Manage booth and presence logistics, including materials, shipments, and setup.
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to showcase Tecsys’ customer value proposition.

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track and analyze event performance metrics.
  • Prepare post-event reports with insights and recommendations.
  • Ensure event contacts are accurately tagged in CRM and HubSpot for follow-up.

Branded Merchandise

  • Manage Tecsys-branded merchandise lifecycle, from ideation and ordering to inventory and distribution.

Qualifications and Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
    • 3–5 years of experience planning and executing events such as conferences, trade shows, workshops, launches, and corporate functions.
    • Strong budget management and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Creative thinker and problem-solver with a strong eye for detail.
    • Proficiency in event management software, online registration platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite; Cvent experience a plus.
    • Knowledge of marketing principles and experience in event marketing.
    • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Experience managing external event partners and internal stakeholders.
    • Willingness to travel as required for onsite event support.
    • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication essential for effective correspondence with clients, suppliers, business partners, and colleagues beyond the province of Quebec.
