Job DescriptionThe Project Engineer and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Specialist leads and coordinates ERP-related projects, from business needs analysis through deployment and support. He/she ensures the functional consistency of the system, optimizes processes, and supports the adoption of implemented solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
Project Management
- Plan, organize, and coordinate all project phases (analysis, design, testing, deployment)
- Manage project budgets, risks, timelines, resources, and dependencies
- Ensure communication with stakeholders (business teams, IT, integrators, vendors)
- Produce project management deliverables (roadmap, schedule, progress reports, documentation)
D365 Specialization
- Analyze business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions within D365
- Configure the ERP, manage workflows, and set up modules (Finance, SCM, Projects, depending on profile)
- Manage system enhancements: change requests, releases, patches, and integrations
- Participate in functional testing (SIT, UAT), write test scenarios, and coordinate validation cycles
Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
- Map business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose optimizations
- Support business teams during the transition to new processes
- Ensure data quality and functional consistency
Support & Training
- Provide Level 2/3 support for D365 modules
- Train end users, produce user guides, and facilitate workshops
- Support change management during deployments
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 10 years of combined experience in engineering followed by ERP project management or digital transformation
- Proven experience with D365 or AX 2012
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational skills and leadership
- Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and solution-oriented mindset
- In-depth expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Finance, SCM, Manufacturing, or Project Operations modules, depending on the role)
- Knowledge of Azure environments, Lifecycle Services (LCS), Power Platform, and integrations (Data entities, Dual-write, etc.)
- Experience in project management (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies)
- Skills in functional documentation, requirements analysis, and process modeling (BPMN, UML)
- Knowledge of databases (SQL) and API/ESB integrations (an asset)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (Finance, SCM, Project Operations, MB-300, MB-320, MB-330, etc.)
- Experience in a specific industry (manufacturing, distribution, services, energy, finance, etc.)
- Bilingualism (French–English): bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position, as it enables effective collaboration with our various stakeholders
