THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Growth Marketing Director, you will design, produce, and implement CRM-powered marketing campaigns (emails, landing pages, automations, content snippets) while analyzing performance metrics to inform future strategies. You'll create and manage a comprehensive email calendar system and build a cross-functional email ecosystem that streamlines all organizational touchpoints through HubSpot, ensuring cohesive user experiences and eliminating communication silos.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Code fundraising and marketing emails using HTML, CSS, and SQL
- Design and develop high-performing email templates with the creative team
- Conduct regular A/B tests to optimize performance
- Manage personalization and automation workflows
- Create and maintain a comprehensive email calendar across all departments
- Coordinate with teams (fundraising, advocacy, product, support) to prevent conflicts
- Establish email frequency guidelines and implement send-time optimization
- Build a cross-functional email ecosystem that consolidates touchpoints through HubSpot
- Eliminate communication silos by creating unified user journey mapping
- Execute list segmentation and targeting for 5 distinct email programs
- Develop subscriber engagement strategy (onboarding, re-engagement, off-boarding)
- Ensure the right message reaches the right user at the optimal time
- Manage HubSpot CRM as a central hub for all organizational communications
- Build a unified lead management system, consolidating touchpoints from all departments
- Partner with CRM Manager on vendor relationships and tool evaluation
- Analyze email metrics and report insights to the Email Team and Marketing leadership
- Monitor deliverability across major domains and adjust targeting practices
- Maintain a comprehensive contact database with proper attribution and lead scoring
- Own development and implementation of landing pages, forms, and CRM features
- Create templates and optimize conversion paths
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3-5 years relevant email marketing experience
- 4+ years CRM experience (HubSpot preferred)
- Experience managing cross-functional email programs and calendar coordination
- HTML/CSS proficiency (SQL skills a plus)
- Strong A/B testing and data analysis capabilities
- Project management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments
- Political landscape knowledge and grassroots movement passion
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure

WORK & BENEFITS SNAPSHOT
This posting is for a full-time, remote, salaried position. Travel may be required on a limited basis to attend all-staff and departmental retreats (1-2 times per year), and additional travel may be required for select positions.

Work Schedule: This role requires availability during established, regular business hours (Mon-Fri).
Work Environment: Employees can expect to work with distributed teams across all U.S. time zones. Our roles require extended technology usage, and proficiency with virtual communication tools such as Zoom and Slack. Regular attendance in virtual meetings is inherent to every position.
Salary Range Details:
Salary Range: $81,350.00 - $99,400.00 - $117,400.00
ActBlue is committed to consistent compensation practices across our organization. Final salary offers will take into account factors such as candidate experience, interview performance and current team salary parity.
