Job Summary:

AJC Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Logistics Intern to join our team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This internship provides hands-on exposure to logistics, ocean freight operations, and customer account management within our Eagle Logistics Systems division.

The intern will support day-to-day operations while learning core logistics processes, including booking coordination, and customer communication. This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gain real-world supply chain experience, and contribute to live customer accounts.


Responsibilities

  • Support customer service efforts by assisting with communication and relationship management for assigned accounts
  • Help manage customer inquiries and ensure timely follow-up
  • Assist in creating and maintaining shipment files (bookings, container specifications, sail dates, pre-billing etc.)
  • Coordinate booking requests with steamship lines under supervision
  • Support appointment scheduling and reporting
  • Assist in shipment updates to customers
  • Help monitor and report discrepancies (damage, shortages, overages)
  • Support documentation processes, including bills of lading
  • Track sailing schedules and assist with system updates and customer notifications
  • Participate in service issue investigations and support resolution efforts

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
  • Prior internship or coursework in logistics, transportation, or operations is a plus, but not required

Language Requirements

  • Candidates are required to read, write, and speak English & Spanish fluently.
