We are seeking an experienced Director of Strategy to lead our strategy team, guiding clients through transformative web and marketing initiatives.

The Director of Strategy will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and content strategies. This role demands a visionary leader who can inspire a team while actively engaging in strategic planning and implementation. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in marketing, content strategy, and the creation of strategic marketing plans.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, understanding their business goals and providing insights to inform their digital and marketing initiatives
  • Guide clients through digital transformation, ensuring they adopt best practices in web technology, accessibility, and user experience
  • Craft and implement digital strategies that align client objectives with user needs, leveraging UX research, analytics, and content strategy
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, cost-effective, and achievable within the project budget
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, development, and project management) to ensure strategic alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define key success metrics

Requirements

What kind of skill set do you need to be successful in your role within the Evolving community?

  • Minimum of 7-10 years in digital strategy, UX, or product strategy, preferably in a web development or digital agency.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and growing high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and executing marketing and content strategies across various channels and platforms
  • Strong ability to understand client goals and constraints, analyze data, interpret insights, and translate them into actionable strategies
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively

Bonus for:

  • Knowledge of Drupal, WordPress
  • Experience working with institutional clients
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing and content strategies across various channels and platforms
