Job Description

The Director of Finance – Joint Ventures & Corporate Finance Shared Services is a senior strategic leader responsible for driving financial oversight, governance, reporting, and performance management across all Joint Venture (JV) entities while leading the corporate finance shared services function. This role acts as a key business partner to operational leaders, JV partners, and executive leadership. The Director will ensure financial integrity, optimize shared service delivery, strengthen controls, and support enterprise-wide financial strategy and long-range planning.

Key Responsibilities

Joint Venture Leadership

  • Own the full financial governance and reporting framework for all Joint Venture partnerships.
  • Lead JV budgeting, forecasting, monthly/quarterly close, variance analysis, and cashflow planning.
  • Develop models to assess JV profitability, risk exposure, capital needs, and long-term financial sustainability.
  • Partner with JV leaders and external partners to ensure transparent communication, timely reporting, and financial accountability.
  • Evaluate JV financial performance against strategic objectives and identify value creation opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with JV agreements, financial covenants, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare JV financial packages and presentations for the Executive Team and external stakeholders.

Corporate Finance Shared Services Oversight

  • Lead and modernize the Corporate Finance Shared Services division
  • Establish service-level standards, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Implement process automation, systems enhancements, and workflow optimization across shared service functions.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close cycles, ensuring consistent, timely, and compliant reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with clear career paths and succession plans.
  • Develop Annual budgets for various departments and track performance on a monthly basis

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business required; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive finance leadership experience, including oversight of shared financial services functions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Joint Ventures, investment partnerships, or complex multi-entity structures.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex financial agreements and manage multi-stakeholder relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, financial systems, ERP platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and executive-level presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly matrixed, and evolving environment.
