Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, the Director, Corporate Finance and Modeling is responsible for developing complex financial models to support strategic decision-making, managing banking relationships and financing, as well as overseeing treasury and debt portfolio. He/she leads corporate financial planning, ensures alignment between financial strategy and business objectives, ensures regulatory compliance and continuously improves financial tools and processes. As a leader, he/she ensures the management, development and mobilization of his/her team. 


Main Responsibilities

Financial Modeling 

  • Develop, conceptualize, and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decisions.
  • Prepare financial information and presentations necessary to support corporate and executive decision-making.
  • Ensure the governance and follow-up of all business analysis files.
  • Analyze and decipher the financial strategy adopted by competitors.
  • Predict market developments so that you can respond quickly and flexibly.

Bank relations and financing 

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with financial institutions and negotiate financing terms.
  • Manage the debt portfolio.
  • Ensure rigorous maintenance and monitoring of cash flow and liquidity.
  • Assess financial risks related to markets.

Financial Planning 

  • Lead the annual corporate financial planning process. 
  • Actively participate in the strategic planning process.
  • Define and implement the company's growth roadmap, ensuring alignment between financial strategy and business objectives.

Continuous improvement and financial planning and analysis 

  • Ensure the execution of planning and financial analysis (FP&A) processes.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and telecommunications industry standards.
  • Support the continuous improvement of technological tools for the Finance team in order to increase their efficiency and analytical capacity over time.

Team management 

  • Ensure the management, development, mobilization and performance of the team, fostering an environment of collaboration, excellence and accountability.

Assume all related responsibilities. 


COMPETENCY PROFILE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience/Certification

  • University degree in economics, finance or related field.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. 
  • CPA and AFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification is a considerable asset. 
  • Experience in annual corporate financial planning.
  • Experience in negotiating with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Experience in debt portfolio management, capital structure and strategic financing.
  • Experience in cash management, liquidity and financial risks.

Other Qualifications

  • Mastery of financial modeling and financing tools.
  • Strong understanding of valuation techniques (tangible/intangible assets, spectrum valuation, profitability).
  • Ability to analyze balance sheets, financial statements and performance indicators in depth.
  • Mastery of business valuations: including but not limited to the valuation of tangible and intangible assets (spectrum), future profitability and market price.
  • Ability to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to financial standards, particularly in telecommunications.
  • In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry ecosystem and literacy.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and analytical tools.
  • Fluency in French is required for this position. Proficiency in English is also necessary in order to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues across the country.
