The Director E2E Intercompany Process Excellence & Transformation Lead is accountable for driving global standardization, operational excellence, and transformation across the end‑to‑end Intercompany (IC) value chain.
This role provides deep functional, process, and accounting expertise and serves as the primary transformation and execution authority supporting the Intercompany Global Process Owner (GPO). This role ensures that GPO‑defined Intercompany standards are effectively translated into implemented solutions, scalable operating models, and sustainable business outcomes across regions and entities.
The role focuses on:
- Achieving convergence toward a unified end‑to‑end Intercompany process taxonomy
- Designing, deploying, and embedding a harmonized Intercompany service delivery and operating model
- Establishing and monitoring end‑to‑end Intercompany KPIs
- Leading high‑priority, cross‑functional Intercompany transformation initiatives
- Translating accounting, compliance, and business requirements into S/4HANA‑enabled process execution
- The position acts as a critical link between Intercompany process strategy, Finance operations, and system enablement (SAP S/4HANA), ensuring alignment between operational Intercompany flows and accounting outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, harmonization, and implementation of end‑to‑end Intercompany processes, covering transaction origination, O2C, P2P, settlement, reconciliation, close, and eliminations.
- Drive global standardization and deployment of the Intercompany E2E process taxonomy, service delivery model, controls, and KPI framework as defined by the Intercompany GPO.
- Act as the primary transformation lead translating Intercompany GPO strategy, policies, and standards into executable transformation initiatives.
- Provide deep Intercompany process and accounting expertise across day‑to‑day execution, exception handling, reconciliation logic, and close activities.
- Identify Intercompany process bottlenecks, reconciliation breaks, accounting risks, and KPI deviations, and lead corrective and improvement actions.
- Collaborate closely with the Intercompany Process Owner and Process Experts, Finance GPOs (O2C, P2P, R2R), GBS Operations, and IT to define future‑state processes, roadmaps, and priorities.
- Lead high‑priority, cross‑functional Intercompany simplification and transformation initiatives aligned with enterprise and Finance strategy.
- Act as the single point of contact for Intercompany demand management, managing intake, prioritization, and sequencing of improvement initiatives.
- Govern and maintain global Intercompany process documentation, ensuring alignment with accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor, analyze, and report Intercompany process performance, driving continuous improvement and value realization.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benchmarking, best practices, and innovation within the Intercompany domain.
- Support SAP S/4HANA Finance and Intercompany implementations by translating accounting and business requirements into standardized process solutions.
- Ensure system design and configuration align with global Intercompany process standards and target operating model.
- Oversee Intercompany transformation execution to ensure delivery within agreed scope, timeline, budget, and value expectations.
- Facilitate global workshops and working sessions to drive alignment, engagement, and adoption of Intercompany process changes.
- Ensure Intercompany process execution complies with regulatory, audit, tax, and internal control frameworks, and govern approved local deviations.
- Provide documentation and subject‑matter support for audit and compliance reviews related to Intercompany processes.
- Mentor process analysts and support Finance and GBS teams to strengthen Intercompany process capability and operational excellence.
