Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
NBCUniversal recherche un directeur/directrice artistique chevronné avec une expérience dans les jeux AAA en monde ouvert pour aider à définir la direction visuelle d'un nouveau projet de divertissement ambitieux.
NBCUniversal is looking for a seasoned Art Director with experience in AAA open-world games to help shape the visual direction of an ambitious new entertainment project.
Responsabilités

• Définir et communiquer la vision artistique du projet, en assurant la cohérence de tous les éléments visuels.
• Assembler et diriger une équipe artistique de premier ordre, y compris des artistes de personnages, d'environnements, procéduraux et VFX/éclairage.
• Collaborer étroitement avec le directeur créatif et le directeur technique pour aligner les visuels avec les objectifs de jeu et techniques.
• Superviser la création d'actifs de haute qualité, en veillant à ce qu'ils répondent aux normes artistiques et techniques.
• Promouvoir l'innovation en direction artistique, en utilisant Unreal Engine 5 et Houdini pour repousser les limites visuelles.
• Gérer les relations avec les partenaires de co-développement et fournir des retours sur les actifs artistiques externalisés.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the artistic vision for the project, ensuring consistency across all visual elements.
• Assemble and lead a top-tier art team, including character, environment, procedural, and VFX/lighting artists.
• Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and Tech Director to align visuals with gameplay and technical goals.
• Oversee the creation of high-quality assets, ensuring they meet artistic and technical standards.
• Champion innovation in art direction, leveraging Unreal Engine 5 and Houdini to push visual boundaries.
• Manage relationships with co-development partners and provide feedback on outsourced art assets.

Qualifications
Exigences de base :

• Plus de 12 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie du jeu vidéo, avec un accent sur le développement de jeux AAA en monde ouvert.

• 12+ years of experience in the video game industry, with a focus on AAA open-world game development.

• Proven ability to lead and inspire large art teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
