A key member of the Wealth Investment Office team at Manulife Wealth, the individual will be responsible for working directly with Investment Advisors and their team members to drive adoption of our managed account programs, specifically the Apex Unified Managed Account program.

Key tenets for this position will include strategic planning, development and prioritization of opportunities through a consultative approach on the use of managed programs and Unified Managed accounts (UMA).    The role requires an understanding of the fee-based advisory business and factors that drive adoption of managed programs such as UMA.  This role will be based our of our Downtown Montreal office location.

 Responsibilities:

  • Drive promotion and expansion of Unified Managed Accounts across Manulife Wealth Advisor base

  •  Meet with Advisors and team members (virtually or in person) to educate  Deliver platform training of the Envestnet Wealth Management platform to ensure end users are knowledgeable and fluent in its use and purpose for UMA

  •  Support Advisors in the portfolio construction/model building for UMA opportunities

  • Support Advisors in the creation and adoption of UMA client reporting via Envestnet

  •  Suggest any necessary UMA program enhancements because of engagement with advisors in the Advisor Managed Program

  • Contribute to strategic projects to help enhance our product shelf and program offerings.

  • Drive the creation of Advisor supporting material for the UMA program including PDF Job aids, video training aids, and other informational related material.   

  •  Help maintain and update internal UMA website

Qualifications:

  •  Bilingual

  • 10+ years of financial services experience, preferably in advisory platform/asset management sales

  • BA or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  •  Solid understanding of the investment advisory business model 

  • Experience with Separately Managed Accounts and/or managed accounts as a service offering for Advisors

  •  Solid business acumen and exceptional organizational, communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with clients, colleagues, cross-functional teams as well as third parties

Preferred Qualifications:

•    CFA/CIM designation

Salary range is expected to be between

$123,100.00 CAD - $173,100.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
