Are you passionate about homegrown television and drama? Do you have a track record of creating dynamic digital and video content for the entertainment industry? Can you blend bold creativity with a sharp eye for detail to turn emerging trends into standout digital experiences? If so, we want to hear from you!


As a Digital Editor, Video Content, you will work within the Digital Television team to showcase entertainment programming, produce engaging promotional material, and maximize content reach and discoverability. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Content, Productions, Content Marketing, Programming, Marketing & Communications and Promotion teams.


Key Tasks:

  • Stay current on TV industry news and Radio-Canada’s full programming lineup.
  • Review and select content, and determine its layout and sequencing.
  • Adapt video formats for publication on Radio-Canada platforms.
  • Attend story meetings. Pitch ideas and concepts, and provide editorial input.
  • Research, gather, curate and verify information from various sources.
  • Source, license or commission images. Take still photos as needed.
  • Write engaging, informative and promotional copy, tailoring the style to each specific platform.
  • Update the content of the site or section.
  • Proofread and edit your own copy and assist colleagues with theirs as needed.
  • Monitor the progress of ongoing digital projects as required.
  • Carry out all other related tasks as assigned.

This is a hybrid role blending in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.


Job Requirements:


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years’ relevant experience.

Skills:

  • Interest in and deep understanding of the Canadian French-language television industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Suite editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Comfort and proficiency in creating visual content using Adobe Express.
  • Strong ability to use media processing tools.
  • Robust knowledge of SEO best practices for digital content.
  • Solid writing skills (including gender-neutral language) and excellent command of written French.
  • Strong grasp of copywriting, visual storytelling and pacing, and digital content best practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high standards for work quality.
  • Independent, proactive mindset.
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure.
