Reporting to the Project Lead, Digital Strategy and Social Media, and collaborating closely with the Digital Entertainment team, you will research, write, adapt, integrate and publish French-language digital content covering the Eurovision Song Contest.


You will help drive dynamic engagement for this project across Radio-Canada’s website and social media channels while meeting strict editorial standards and timelines.


Key Tasks:

  • Monitor Eurovision news, trends and online chatter to pitch creative story and content ideas.
  • Participate actively in production meetings to contribute editorial ideas, formats and story angles tailored to French-speaking audiences.
  • Research, gather, curate and verify information from diverse sources.
  • Curate and adapt content about artists, songs, behind-the-scenes moments and contest highlights for web and social channels.
  • Review and select video clips and visual assets. Request artwork and shoot original photos or short video sequences as needed.
  • Write engaging, informative and promotional copy, tailoring the style to each specific platform.
  • Research and insert hyperlinks, metadata and optimization elements to enhance content discoverability and accessibility.
  • Publish content across French-language Eurovision accounts in line with platform best practices.
  • Assist with community management and promptly escalate potential editorial, reputational or operational risks. (secondary responsibility)
  • Maintain the publishing schedule, co-ordinate approvals and track assigned production workflows. (secondary responsibility)
  • Monitor content analytics and recommend performance-driven adjustments. (secondary responsibility) 

This is a nine-month, full-time contract position.


This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines. 


Job Requirements:


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years’ relevant experience.

Skills:

  • Exceptional French writing and editing skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Proficiency with content management systems (CMSs) and social media publishing tools.
  • Solid grasp of digital journalism techniques, including research, interviewing and storytelling.
  • Strong understanding of social platforms, as well as digital discoverability and web accessibility standards.
  • Proven ability to work independently, balance competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Broad knowledge base and keen interest in current events.
  • Passion for music, entertainment or the Eurovision Song Contest is an asset.
