About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Management Specialist to join our Information Security team. As a Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization's product, systems, and networks. You will assist in monitoring and analyzing security events, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents, as well as compliance and governance practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for cyber security to gain practical experience and grow their skills in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security event SIEM logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents or breaches.
  • Assist in incident detection and response activities, including investigating and resolving security incidents, performing root cause analysis, and recommending preventive measures.
  • Conduct routine security threat and vulnerability assessments to identify system weaknesses and recommend appropriate actions on the infrastructure, platforms, and application workloads.
  • Maintain Cyber Threat and Vulnerability Management program documentation, including standard operating procedures, for optimal operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the timely resolution of security vulnerabilities and information security risks.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to develop, implement and enforce security controls, policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest cyber security threats, trends, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts and participate in projects as required.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Passion towards Cyber Security and eagerness to continuously learn.
  • Knowledge of basic cyber security concepts, including network security, threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with common security technologies and tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, SIEM and endpoint protection.
  • Familiarity with common and latest forms of malware, attacker tools, and techniques.
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols and operating systems.
  • Familiarity or knowledge of public cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions.
  • Understanding of Industry standards and frameworks such as NIST, MITR, CIS, PCI, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications will be an asset.
