About Entermotion

Entermotion builds software that real people depend on every day to do their jobs. Our flagship product, Atlas EMR, is a Direct Primary Care platform that clinics use to run their practices end to end: scheduling, messaging, clinical notes, billing, and patient-facing apps. We also build across education platforms and interactive entertainment, so the problems are varied and the work rarely looks the same twice.

About the role

We're looking for a strong writer who thinks beyond the brief. Someone who can write a landing page, campaign, email, or product story—but who also wants to understand the product, audience, and business well enough to help decide what we should be saying in the first place.
You'll work closely with leadership, design, and product to develop positioning and messaging, shape marketing ideas, and turn them into clear, effective copy.
You won't just receive briefs and execute them. You'll help create the brief.

What you'll doWrite and shape the message

Writing is at the center of the job. You'll write across formats including website and landing-page copy, campaigns, emails, newsletters, product messaging, and other sales and marketing material. We're looking for someone who can find the right angle, write a strong first draft, and keep improving it through feedback and iteration. You should care about voice, clarity, positioning, and the difference between copy that simply sounds good and copy that actually communicates something useful.

Understand what you're selling

Good copy starts before the blank page. You'll need to understand our products, who they're for, what problems they solve, and what makes them worth paying attention to. That might mean talking with product teams, reviewing customer feedback, studying competitors, or looking at how people respond to existing marketing. The goal is to turn that understanding into better messaging. Sometimes that means realizing we're emphasizing the wrong benefit. Sometimes it means finding a simpler way to explain something complicated. Sometimes the copy is fine and the idea behind it needs to change.

Help drive the marketing thinking

You'll be expected to contribute to the thinking behind the work, not just the final words. You'll work with leadership and our creative team to help determine the angle, message, structure, and purpose behind marketing projects, then stay involved as the work develops. Sometimes the answer will be better copy. Sometimes it will be a different page, campaign, offer, or way of presenting the product. We want someone who can form a point of view, explain the reasoning behind it, and help turn that thinking into finished work.

What we're looking for

Your background might be in copywriting, product marketing, brand writing, content, or some combination of them. The exact title matters less to us than how you think and the work you've done. We're looking for someone who:

  • Is an excellent writer with strong instincts for messaging and positioning
  • Is curious about products, businesses, and why people buy
  • Can take a complicated product or idea and make it clear
  • Can move from a loose problem to a strong angle and finished copy
  • Takes ownership instead of waiting for perfectly defined tasks
  • Can work closely with designers, product teams, and leadership
  • Takes feedback well and knows when an idea needs to change

We value creativity beyond clever headlines. We want someone who notices things, makes connections, and occasionally finds a better approach than the one we started with.

What success looks like

After working with you, our writing should be sharper, our positioning clearer, and our marketing better at explaining why our products matter. Our pages, campaigns, and launches should start from stronger ideas and turn into stronger finished work. And every so often, you should bring us an angle or idea that wasn't obvious when the project started.

The position

Full-time and remote. We're a dispersed team and most of our work happens in backlogs, wikis and Slack, so you need to be genuinely good at asynchronous work and written communication, which, for this role especially, is also the actual craft you're being hired for. We're flexible on schedule, but at least 4 hours of daily overlap with your core team is required.

How to apply

Send us your CV and examples of your work. We'd especially like to see product copy, landing pages, campaigns, positioning, launches, or other work that shows both what you created and how you thought about the problem.

For at least one example, tell us briefly:

What was the problem? What did you notice? What did you decide to do about it?
