Summary Job Description:   The main object and purpose of this position consist in coordinating and analyzing all of the production operations and maintenance activities in order to respond effectively to customer demand. The incumbent must carry out all of these activities with respect to the action plan, deadlines, operating and safety and health standards while ensuring the coaching and development of the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the group’s administrative processes: Is responsible for entering all data related to production (Oracle R12, LIMS, Servitrax, Intelex, payroll). Produces monthly and ad hoc reports upon request. Creates requisitions and is responsible for payment of all invoices. Investigates and resolves issues surrounding orders and payments. Is responsible for all month end procedures, runs month end reports, month end calculations and bulk delivery entries. Coordinates and is responsible for all payroll. Enters and keeps track of hours, vacation, overtime and absenteeism.

  • Coordinates purchasing: Is responsible for the ordering and inventory of labels while maintaining label room. Controls and manages inventory. Sources and obtains quotes from suppliers. Sources and transfers stock to and from other ALC locations. Is responsible for ordering and maintaining PPEs for operators and staff. Creates requisitions and is responsible for payment of all invoices.

  • Analyzes production follow-up: Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance and operations reports in order to determine the causes of non-compliance with product specifications and all operating or production problems. 

  • Coordinates Cylinder Distributions: Manage cylinder stock levels to meet customer needs. Coordinate cylinder needs for the logistics team to process. Work with the National Spec Gas Coordinator and Sales support team to ensure operational efficiency.

  • Ensures internal communication: Knows how to deal effectively with employees so as to ensure optimal operations, giving priority to the requirements and expectations of the customers. Is attentive to the needs and concerns of other team members and related departments. Transmits the information and communicates to ensure that experience is shared and to make his knowledge and know-how available.

  • Implement and maintain a document control system: Adds local document in ALMS. Controls printed documents and updates them when new revisions are available. Maintain a list of SDS. Responsible for SDS maintenance, JHSM minutes and distribution. Enters and responds to assigned actions in Intelex. Keeps track of contractors’ hours.

  • Coordinates training: Is responsible for keeping track and managing the training (first aid, confined space, forklift, etc.). Produces monthly training reports. Is responsible for managing employee files (paper version and Constellation).

  • Continuous improvement: Works closely with the members of the filling plant teams to resolve any problems or find new ways in which to improve the efficiency of the activities. Makes recommendations and takes part in the decision making process with respect to improving the process. Enters BSVs and near misses into Intelex and follows up on required actions. Coordinates activities surrounding CCR.

  • Safety/Quality: Promotes ALC safety objectives. Knows and respects all procedures pertaining to the filling plants.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma: College diploma in a related field such as business or supply chain.

  • Knowledge: Inventory knowledge is an asset, must be extremely computer literate, data processing, problem solving, detail oriented.

  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related experience in a similar field would be considered an asset.
