Job Description

We are currently looking for a versatile Class 1 Driver to join our team. We are seeking a resourceful, self-motivated individual who can adapt quickly to changing priorities. No two days are the same here: you will take on a variety of responsibilities and face new challenges every day.

In addition to your driving duties, you will play a key role in our operations. Depending on operational needs, you may assist with yard activities, help organize equipment, and act as a first responder to support drivers when a truck experiences issues on the road.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various types of heavy-duty trucks based on operational requirements;
  • Provide operational support and respond to assist drivers experiencing breakdowns or other issues on the road;
  • Pick up and deliver ferrous and non-ferrous metals while adhering to all safety standards and providing excellent customer service;
  • Complete all required transportation and shipping documentation;
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections;
  • Comply with all company safety policies and applicable regulations at all times;
  • Move, organize, and clean trailers as required;
  • Perform other related duties in support of daily operations.

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You hold a valid Class 1 FM driver’s license, with a good driving record
  • You have at least 2 years of experience
  • You are familiar with hydraulic systems
  • You have experience driving a variety of heavy vehicles, such as 12‑wheel roll‑offs, 4‑axle dump trucks, 4‑axle carcass trailers, etc.
  • You are safety‑conscious
  • You are in excellent physical condition
  • You have strong customer service skills
  • You are reliable, diligent, and punctual
  • You take good care of equipment and tools
