We’re seeking someone to join our Ultra-Low-Latency and Exchange Connectivity (ULE) team as a C++ Developer in ALGO to drive and deliver software and functional innovations to maintain industry leadership and competitive advantage in the electronic trading space.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Engineering III position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Design, develop, and maintain C++ applications in a Linux environment.

  • Participate in code design sessions and code reviews to drive high-quality, maintainable software solutions.

  • Develop, execute, and support testing activities to ensure software reliability, performance, and stability.

  • Collaborate closely with team members to solve complex technical challenges and deliver business-critical functionality.

  • Apply sound engineering judgment to make independent technical decisions and resolve issues effectively.

  • Utilize scripting and automation tools to support development and operational processes.

  • Leverage modern AI tools to improve productivity, development workflows, and software quality.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 4+ years of experience in designing and developing C++ applications in a Linux environment.

  • Understanding of software architecture principles and strong computer science fundamentals.

  • Experience working with agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery practices.

  • Proficiency in Python scripting.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity and adaptability to utilize modern AI tools.

  • Experience working on Low Latency trading systems is a plus.

All our positions are located in Montreal, Quebec. We offer a hybrid work environment, combining remote work and attendance in the office.

Knowledge of French and English is required.
