Serve as the Health Insurance SME, manage change requests and stakeholder liaison across the development lifecycle, provide functional user support, and coordinate audits, compliance, and corrective actions to ensure policy and process adherence.
- Health Subject Matter Expert:
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Health Insurance products, business processes, and system functionality. Provide business input and support during requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and deployment activities.
- Manage the lifecycle of Change Requests (CRs), including gathering and analyzing business requirements, assessing impacts, prioritizing requests, coordinating testing, tracking progress, and supporting implementation.
- Liaise with developers, business users and any stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle to clarify requirements, review proposed solutions, address queries, coordinate activities, and ensure successful delivery.
- Provide functional support to Business users, including addressing user queries, investigating issues, coordinating with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring timely resolution of requests.
- Manage and respond to business queries and support tickets in a timely manner, ensuring effective communication and resolution.
- Audit & Compliance:
- Coordinate internal and external audits related to systems, applications, and business processes, including facilitating communication with auditors and internal stakeholders, gathering required information and evidence, and ensuring timely responses to audit requests.
- Analyze audit findings and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to define appropriate corrective actions and action plans. Ensure that agreed actions are documented, assigned to responsible owners, and tracked to completion within the agreed timelines.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions arising from audit findings, provide regular status updates, follow up on overdue actions, and ensure proper closure of audit recommendations.
- Ensure that policies are regularly reviewed and updated. Ensure that standards and procedures are effectively implemented, with appropriate monitoring controls established and maintained.
Qualifications & Competence
- Degree in Business Management, Insurance, Audit, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in health insurance and insurance operations.
- Experience in coordinating projects, business initiatives, and operational activities.
- Experience in supporting audits, compliance activities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness and eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
