Job Description

Reporting to the Business Performance Specialist, the Business Performance Analyst plays a key role in improving operational efficiency and cost performance across Quebec Recycling. Through data analysis and performance monitoring, this role delivers accurate, actionable insights that support operational decision-making and identify optimization opportunities. You will work closely with operations teams and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable analysis and drive performance improvements across the network. 

What you’re responsible for:

  • Monitor and analyse operational performance metrics related to cost, productivity, efficiency and service levels. 
  • Conduct variance analysis on operational and logistics costs and forecast, identifying key drivers and improvement opportunities. 
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and recurring performance reports using Excel and Power BI. 
  • Consolidate and validate data related to production, inventory flows, and transportation movements to ensure accurate and reliable reporting. 
  • Identify performance gaps across operations and logistics flows and provide analysis to support corrective action plans  
  • Work with the stakeholders to implement and track post implementation improvement. 
  • Partner with site managers and operational teams to improve production efficiency, asset utilization, turnaround times, and cost management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness, internal efficiency, and cost optimization. 
  • Provide analytical support for ad hoc projects related to operational performance and network efficiency across Quebec Recycling. 

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. 
  • 2–5 years of experience in operations analysis, industrial performance monitoring, logistics, or a related analytical role. 
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, supply chain, or asset-intensive, multi-site environments, is preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of operational cost structures and performance drivers, including logistics-related components. 
  • Proven experience in KPI monitoring, variance analysis, and performance reporting. 
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data structuring); experience with Power BI or similar BI tools is an asset. 
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills. 
  • Proactive and autonomous, with the ability to work in a dynamic operational environment. 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. 
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality. 
  • Bilingual (French and English).
