About the team and the role: 

Reporting to the Live Country Manager for eBay Canada, you will play a key role in shaping the future of live commerce at eBay. You’ll be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and onboarding high-potential sellers and strategic partners to help accelerate the adoption and growth of the eBay Live platform.

This is a high-impact, outward-facing role ideal for a proactive, strategic problem solver with a passion for innovation, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of driving partnerships in fast-paced environments.

What you will accomplish: 

  • Strategic Expansion: Develop and implement business development strategies to grow eBay Live’s presence, including identifying category and market opportunities where eBay Live can lead.

  • Seller & Partner Pipeline: Build and manage a pipeline of prospective sellers and partners, using your judgment to prioritize based on fit, growth potential, and alignment with eBay Live’s goals.

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Own the end-to-end seller acquisition process from pitch to close—ensuring a smooth journey through evaluation, contracting, integration, and activation.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with category, marketing, product, and legal teams to deliver seamless seller onboarding and support.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape to inform business strategies and refine partnership criteria.

  • Innovation: Identify, propose, and help implement new partnership models and deal structures that drive sustainable growth and seller success on eBay Live.

What you will bring:

  • 2-5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales, preferably in e-commerce, livestream commerce, retail tech, fashion, or collectibles.

  • Demonstrated success in identifying and closing strategic partnerships or onboarding high-value clients.

  • Deep understanding of digital commerce trends, especially in video/live shopping, influencer commerce, and retail passionate about the community.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with an interest in relationship-building.

  • Ability to manage ambiguity and multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-evolving environment.

  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, with attention to operational detail.

  • Entrepreneurial mentality with a bias for action and ownership.

  • Comfortable working autonomously and across distributed teams.

  • Experience working with sellers or influencers is a strong plus.
