Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Analyst 2 for a full-time, 1-year contract (250 days, 7.25-hour days) with an optional 1-year extension to support a system modernization initiative. Based on a hybrid work model out of Fredericton, New Brunswick, the role focuses on replacing manual, legacy workflows with a secure, automated client portal. Key deliverables include conducting facilitation workshops, writing user stories and test cases, mapping process flows, creating wireframes for mobile-responsive web apps, and maintaining requirement traceability matrices.
Candidates must possess an IT-related degree or diploma, fluent English skills, at least 5 years of IM/IT experience, and 3 to 5 years of direct experience as a Business Analyst. Strong candidates will demonstrate 3 to 5 years of experience in enterprise requirements gathering, process diagramming, and stakeholder management. Additionally, 1 to 3 years of experience in a Canadian public sector setting, working with Agile/SAFe methodologies, and utilizing Azure DevOps is required , while a current IIBA-CBAP or PMI-PBA certification is a strong asset.
Requirements
Education: Must hold a University Degree or Post-Secondary diploma in IT, or an equivalent program.
Core IT Experience: Must have at least 5 years of IM/IT experience directly related to the design, development, maintenance, or analysis of business applications.
BA Domain Experience: Must have 3 to 5 years of dedicated, professional experience working specifically in a Business Analyst capacity.
Language Proficiency: Must have demonstrated spoken and written competence in English.
