We are seeking a talented individual to join our National Growth team at Marsh. This role will be based in Montreal and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.
As an Associate Producer, you will focus on growing a mid-sized book of business through new logo acquisition and expanding opportunities within existing accounts. You’ll drive business growth through strategic sales, market research, and tailored insurance solutions, while representing Marsh at industry events to expand your network. Success in this role requires a strong local network within the Montreal business community with finance, treasury, CFOs, and legal professionals in the Calgary and Edmonton business communities.
We will count on you to:
- Manage and grow a mid-sized portfolio of Property & Casualty accounts across diverse industries, supporting complex and high-priority client needs
- Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to client requirements and market trends to drive new business and deepen existing relationships
- Conduct market and industry research to identify potential clients and emerging opportunities within target sectors
- Prepare detailed analyses and competitive proposals that align with client objectives and Marsh’s product offerings
- Collaborate with internal teams to design customized insurance solutions, ensuring compliance with pricing and policy guidelines
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain strong, trust-based relationships
- Represent Marsh at industry events and maintain an active presence within the local business community
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3–7 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance sales or account management
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English, as the position requires regular interaction with clients and other third parties outside of Quebec, as well as collaboration with colleagues outside of Canada
- Proven track record of managing and expanding a book of business, including new client acquisition
- Strong strategic sales and account management capabilities
- Analytical skills to conduct market research and develop competitive proposals
- Excellent negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Financial acumen with the ability to interpret financial statements and business metrics
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with a strong eye for storytelling and executive communication
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and translate findings into insights
- High proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite
