An overview of this role

As a Marketing Campaign Operations Associate at GitLab, you'll be the vital link between campaign strategy and execution. You'll orchestrate marketing campaigns from concept to completion, harnessing powerful technologies that amplify our global reach. You'll become a critical team member behind GitLab's marketing engine, mastering our automation platforms to execute compelling customer journeys through email workflows, landing pages, and intuitive forms. 

You'll troubleshoot technical issues with agility, ensuring seamless experiences for prospects and customers alike. As you grow, you'll develop expertise in marketing automation, system integrations, and process improvements to optimize lead to conversion through the B2B funnel. Your contributions will directly impact pipeline generation and help accelerate GitLab's continued success.

What You’ll Do  

  • Execute end-to-end Marketo campaigns including building emails, landing pages, and forms while ensuring brand consistency and best practices
  • Create and manage email nurture programs, ensuring proper segmentation, personalization, and deliverability
  • Implement and document process improvements for campaign execution and Marketo administration
  • Maintain data quality and cleanliness across marketing systems by identifying and merging duplicate records, standardizing data, and researching process bugs
  • Develop and enforce data governance procedures to ensure data integrity within Marketo and connected systems
  • Assist with list management including cleansing, enriching, and uploading prospect lists
  • Build smart lists in Marketo to aid in geographic and account-based marketing efforts
  • Utilize AI tools to improve campaign execution efficiency, content personalization, and workflow automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their marketing automation needs and implement solutions

What You’ll Bring 

  • Experience with Marketo, Iterable or similar marketing automation and email platforms (or strong willingness to learn)
  • Experience with Asana, GitLab or other project management platforms is a plus
  • Email marketing competency including knowledge of email deliverability best practices
  • Strong data management skills and commitment to data cleanliness and accuracy
  • Basic understanding of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
  • Experience with HTML/CSS for email and landing page customization is a plus
  • Self-starter mentality with ability to learn independently through documentation and resources
  • Curiosity about marketing technology and AI applications in marketing
  • Strong spoken and written English communication skills
  • Alignment with GitLab's values and commitment to working in accordance with those values

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

$56,000$120,000 USD
