Be an Early Applicant
Manage procurement of ocean freight for U.S. import/export trades: obtain and negotiate rates, maintain contracts and FMC filings, handle carrier escalations, support corporate carrier strategy, and procure intermodal rates as needed. Promote strong carrier relationships and produce data analysis and reports to support procurement decisions.
Mandat
- Obtenir les taux de fret maritime pour les importations et exportations aux États-Unis
- Maintenir les contrats maritimes et veiller à la conformité des déclarations au FMC
- Examiner les demandes de prix, valider et négocier les tarifs et les modalités du fret maritime aves les transporteurs
- Gérer les escalades pour les correcteurs de factures, les détournements, la protection des capacités et les accords avec les fournisseurs
- Mettre en œuvre une stratégie de transporteur d’entreprise, en collaboration avec d’autres membres de l’équipe d’approvisionnement.
- Obtenir des frais intermodaux au besoin
- Encourager une philosophie gagnante avec les transporteurs maritimes et les fournisseurs intermodaux
Exigences
- Minimum 2 ans d’experience dans l’achat de frêt maritime (achat ou vente)
- Expérience de travail pour un transitaire ou un transporteur maritime souhaitable
- BAC en gestion d’entreprise ou en gestion logistique est un atout

Mandate
- Procure ocean freight rates for import and export USA trades
- Maintain ocean contracts and ensure filing compliance with FMC
- Review RFQ’s, validate and negotiate ocean freight rates and terms with carriers
- Manage escalations with carriers for invoice correctors, diversions, capacity protection and agreements with suppliers
- Implement corporate carrier strategy, working with other peers from Global Ocean Freight Procurement team
- Procure intermodal rates as needed
- Promote a win/win philosophy with ocean carriers and intermodal providers
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the procurement of ocean freight (buying or selling)
- Experience working for a freight forwarder or ocean carrier is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration or logistics management is an asset
