ABOUT THE TEAM

Reporting to the Manager, Public Markets Solutions, the Analyst actively contributes to the team’s mission.

The Public Markets Solutions team is responsible for the technology solutions supporting Front Office, Back Office, Treasury, and Compliance functions for Public Markets investments. The team plays a key role in the evolution and support of these platforms, ensuring the delivery of efficient, scalable solutions aligned with PSP’s operating model.

In a constantly evolving environment, the team works closely with business partners to ensure the quality, stability, and continuous improvement of solutions supporting investment activities. 

ABOUT YOUR ROLE 

As an Analyst, Public Markets Solutions, you will contribute to business needs analysis, solution delivery, and day-to-day operational support.

More specifically, you will be expected to:

  • Collaborate with investment teams and business partners to gather, understand, and analyse their needs, and participate in validation and verification of business requirements

  • Contribute to translating business needs into concrete deliverables such as functional specifications, documentation, and other artefacts required for solution delivery. The Analyst role includes producing and maintaining artefacts related to configuration, documentation, testing, implementation, and deployment

  • Participate in all phases of solution delivery, including configuration, documentation, testing, implementation, and deployment, in line with established practices

  • Support testing activities to ensure the quality of delivered solutions, including functional validation and required testing prior to production release

  • Provide operational support for the solutions under your responsibility, including maintenance, incident management, problem resolution, and handling of daily operational requests

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of solutions and processes by identifying optimisation opportunities aligned with user needs and operational realities

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of solutions, their configuration, and their ecosystem to ensure effective support and consistent evolution

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Relevant experience in business analysis and/or systems analysis, ideally in a technology environment related to investments or operations

  • Ability to gather, analyse, and document business needs, and contribute to the production and maintenance of solution deliverables

  • Ability to perform in a hybrid role combining analysis, delivery, and day-to-day operational support

  • Strong organisational skills, structured approach, and sound judgement in problem-solving

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, colleagues, and vendors, providing timely and effective responses to requests

  • Experience in the investment industry, particularly in Public Markets, is considered a strong asset

  • Knowledge of transaction lifecycle and Public Markets instruments such as fixed income and derivatives is considered a strong asset

  • Knowledge of SQL for data analysis and exploration is a strong asset

  • Working knowledge of Windows environments and Microsoft SQL Server is an asset

  • Experience with Bloomberg solutions is an asset

  • Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
