ABOUT YOUR ROLEThe analyst will be responsible for entering investment transactions in PSP’s systems and performing various periodic analysis related to an asset class. He/she will be also responsible of the quality of the referential data in PSP’s systems, which are used by different groups and users within the organization.
As an Analyst, Investment Finance, you’ll:
Ensure the quality of the investment’s referential data within the systems and perform data analysis from different sources: e.g legal documents, General Partner’s reporting, etc.
Prepare analysis for accounting, reporting and management purposes, at month end, quarter end or year-end
Ensure appropriate booking of transactions and commitments in the systems
Analysis of new investments at time of acquisition
Assist in the analysis and reporting of investments reorganization and transfers between subsidiaries
Assist in department initiative and special projects
Assist in various other tasks specific to the team’s activities, including Ad Hoc requests
Build strong and professional relationships with our internal business partners
One (1) to three (3) years of related working experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
Professional designation CPA in progress
Experience in financial services is an asset
Excellent knowledge of Excel and ability to quickly master computer systems
Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
Team spirit and ability to work in a high-performance culture
High degree of professionalism with strong spoken and written communication skills
Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
