ABOUT THE TEAM

Reporting to the Director, the Analyst, Financial Analysis and Planning has a strong background in financial analysis, advanced Excel skills, and is a savvy user of Python and Power Query for Excel. This role will involve working closely with various departments to provide insightful financial analysis and support strategic decision-making.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As an Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis, you’ll: 

  • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business planning and forecasting

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models

  • Utilize Python and Power Query for Excel to automate and enhance financial processes

  • Leverage Power Query to extract, transform, and load data from various sources

  • Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts

  • Monitor key performance indicators and analyze variances to identify trends and opportunities for improvement

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science

  • CFA or CPA designation (an asset)

  • One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably in a large organization

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros

  • Savvy user of Python and Power Query for Excel

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

  • Experience with financial planning software and ERP systems such as IBM Planning Analytics (TM1 an asset)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
