Job Description

This is a one-year contract

At SSENSE, we're building the future of retail, and our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team is at the heart of this ambition. As an Associate Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to assist the FP&A team in their daily operations. This includes helping with financial report generation, data collection, and supporting the team's work across various corporate groups such as Finance, Real Estate and Human Resources. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain in-depth expertise in financial planning, explore complex data sets, and transform them into actionable insights that will guide our decisions.

What You Will Do:

Financial Planning & Analysis Execution

  • Support with consolidating, updating, and maintaining monthly analysis of actual results, and guide annual budgeting.

  • Analyze and summarize monthly results, highlighting key variances for executive summaries.

Business Partnering

  • Act as the primary financial support to the FP&A Manager for the following groups: Finance, Real Estate, and Human Resources.

  • Track monthly spend against budget and forecasts, identifying risks, opportunities, and required adjustments.

Continuous Development

  • Provide general support to the broader FP&A team during planning cycles and ad-hoc analyses.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, tools, and systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • Being in the process of obtaining a CFA, CA, CGA, CMA / CPA, or MBA professional designation will be considered an asset.

  • Possess 0 to 2 years of experience in a finance role.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level).

  • Experience with Adaptive Insights or other financial budgeting software will be considered an asset, as well as experience with SAP or another ERP.

  • French language proficiency is required as it is the language in the Quebec province.
